PEACE – LRC & Phoenix
Peace Project is a project which is being carried out with fund from EU aid program by Phoenix and LRC together. The project period is from July’2018 to January’2020. Phoenix Association is carrying out the project in Hlaing Tharyar Township. The object is to promote the justice of people and fair (justice) civil cooperation with full (complete) accountability between government departments and people.
The activities carried out under the project during 2018 are as follows:
- Introduction to project (1 time)
- One teacher-training course on basic laws and civic duties was given to 30 selected persons, who were interested in social activities in Hlaing Tharyar Township so that they can share their knowledge with people in their wards and villages.
- One meeting was held to coordinate and find out solutions to the problems and difficulties which arise between the people and government.
Note:
In 2019, 19 workshops on public awareness and quarterly meetings will be continued under the project.
